Fuck Post Malone. In the truest sense. Because hip-hop has saved lives, These are the very first thoughts that formulated in my mind after I heard Post Malone's comments on the current state of hip-hop. Here's what he had to say in a recent interview with the Polish network NewOnce:
“If you’re looking for lyrics, if you’re looking to cry, if you’re looking to think about life, don’t listen to hip-hop. There’s great hip-hop songs where they talk about life and they spit that real shit, but right now, there’s not a lot of people talking about real shit”. — Post Malone 11/22/17
Post Malone is a rapper who has used hip-hop. Used in every sense of the word. Because if it wasn't for hip-hop he would not have any of the luxury cars, or the mansion,  or him. This comes from a man who has taken soo much from the culture (braids, gold teeth, RAP) and has yet to do anything for the culture in return. There have been so many lyrical, life-inspired, and most of all "real" albums dropped this year that your had to have been under a fucking rock to not have experienced them. Or not apart of the culture. So let's remind Post Malone of the hip-hop albums that dealt with lyrics, life, and spittin that real shit.

  • Big K.R.I.T. just dropped one of the dopest albums of the year "4Eva is a Mighty Long Time". It talked about battling alcoholism, finding true happiness, coming to terms with that the YOLO part of your life will be with you forever because people are living longer these days, and of course "Keeping the devil Off".

  • Jay-Z was not only inducted in to the Writer's Hall of Fame but dropped a real life album called "4:44". The album talked about infidelity, investing, family legacy, supporting his mother who decided to come out, and being a black man in Trump's America. We talking bout fuckin HOV.

  • Kendrick Lamar just dropped a crazy album which solidified his place in Hip-Hop. The album dealt with real life issues of love, fear, and God, and two strangers choices when dealing with these topics. Did he hear fucking DUCKWORTH?
  • In Cleveland hip-hop was the voice of protesters who's agenda was to speak out against police brutality and let the whole world know that "We gone be ALRIGHT!!!".

I can go on and on because hip-hop is the voice of the oppressed. It's the news of the streets. It's the FUCK YOUR ETHNICITY!! To anyone who looks down on someone because of their differences. The same message which was carried from Gil-Scott Heron in his song "THE REVOLUTION WILL BE TELEVISED!!". Which it was, and still is. But we see now that the revolution will also be MONETIZED! Hip-hop is now the top music genre, which means that people have used the culture to made a quick buck. At a small scale this means that there will be good rappers, bad rappers, and everything in between. But at a larger scale one thing that rap has proven is that 'The Real Hip-Hop' always wins. And above all else WE GONE BE ALRIGHT!!!

But back to Post Malone's story and how it all shook out. But twitter luckily wasn't have it and if anything is true about twitter it's this: When they go low. Twitter goes lower. Here's a few tweets from fans of hip-hop:

Of course Post Malone got salty and had this to say after everyone on Twitter who roasted him:

Of course we know how this story ends. Twitter is damn near undefeated. So of course after all the clapbacks on twitter there comes the circling of the wagon as Post Malone posts to his twitter backtracking on his earlier tweets and comments on hip-hop. And you can guess what his response was... Like a drunken ex who called his excuse was that NewOnce had gotten him drunk during the interview. But NewOnce had something to say about this also:
