I know what your thinking. "I thought this was a place for rap to be shared and explored and annotated.". To which I would say is still very true. It's been a labor of love crafting out the perfect post and recreating the exact feelings and expressions that came with hearing a song for the first time. But we are so much more than a blog site. My vision for this has never been just to be a blog site. We are also a fashion site that sales merchandising (check the About page). We also do consulting and executive producing. In the end we are a brand. A name that is distinguishable and that holds weight. And dropping music has always been the vision for the Tulsa Lines Brand.
So how did this come together? A year ago I had the idea that Tulsa Lines should be a platform that was so influential and cultivating that it would become the voice for Tulsa music. And dropping music should be one facet to help with that. So when it comes to how the single came about, an artist I had worked with and wrote articles about before named DIALTONE, also put out the idea that Tulsa Lines should be dropping music. This is when the ball started rolling. He had just recorded the perfect summer anthem but wanted it to be released different from anyway he had before. This is where he saw Tulsa Lines as the perfect opportunity.
So on July 19th we went live with our first single called "Not Like Me" by DIALTONE that features Atlanta rapper Ruby G. It's now available on all major streaming platforms. Check it out and let us know what you think.
The single is also on Apple Music, Spotify, And TIDAL. Basically all major music streaming platforms. Please like and share but most importantly, JAM IT!
